Rhonda Vry-Bills’ primary focus is to save one family at a time from the single, largest unprotected liability our nation faces, a long-term care (LTC) event. She is passionate about saving people from the physical, emotional, and financial burden that is placed on family members.
Rhonda grew up in rural Iowa, the daughter of a farmer and a geriatric nurse. Nursing shortages, quality of care, patient to staff ratio, spending down assets - and the consequences all of these had, were conversations Rhonda grew up around.
Since 1996, Rhonda has dedicated herself to the LTC insurance industry. She started at KVI, now Marsh McLennan, educating members of national associations on Medicare, Medicaid and LTC planning. During her 6 years at KVI, Rhonda was licensed in 50 states and taught LOMA (Life Office Management Association) classes.
In 2002, Rhonda started Long Term Care Strategies, Inc. She has a strategic alliance with professionals (life/health insurance agents, financial planners, employer brokers, CPA’s, estate planning attorney’s, banks and credit unions). Partnering with professionals who need Rhonda’s area of expertise allows her to focus on what she does best, LTC planning.
Today, Rhonda is a sought after speaker addressing the significance of LTC planning. She was named #1 agent in the nation in 2022, #10 in 2007 and repeatedly #1 in the State of Iowa, along with #1 in multi-life sales. Rhonda has served on national panels for the Intercompany Long Term Care Actuarial Conference, the AALTCI National Producers Summit. She has contributed to articles in trade publications for Sr Market Sales and Broker’s World.
Rhonda is a proud alumnus of Simpson College with degrees in Communication, Theatre and emphasis in psychology. She has 2 adult children and continues to give back to the community thru volunteering with JR Achievement and is a member of Altoona United Methodist Church.
