This November marks the 14th anniversary of Long Term Care Awareness Month, which congress established and recognized in 2001! As we move into the holiday season and see the New Year on the horizon, there couldn’t be a better time to start or continue the conversation with your family, friends and loved ones about their personal goals, health and preparation for the future.
Facing the truth about the future need for help with long term care is common in a lot of people, but studies show 70% of people who reach the age 65 will need some form of long term care in the future. LTC Awareness month was created to shed light on the need for a long term care plan, whether or not that plan involves insurance. Now is the time to reach out to your family, friends and loved ones who may not realize they are putting their life savings at risk or who are concerned about burdening their loved ones.
Use Long Term Care Awareness Month to help educate yourself on the importance of planning for long term care needs.
